The S8400 Digital ENG/SNG
product provides the unique functionality of 6
individual routing, timing and distribution products
in just one 2RU frame. Developed
for the ENG/SNG vehicle industry, the S8400 simplifies
the design of new DTV broadcast vehicles (or digital
retrofits) by providing the core requirements in an
easy to install, space-saving and cost-effective design.
Included in the system
is an 8x4 SDI video router, combined either with an
8x4 AES/EBU or analog stereo audio crosspoint, a 525/625
digital sync generator, a digital SMPTE color bar
generator, tone generator, character ID generator,
plus optional video and audio D-to-A converters.
This S8400
modular approach to the integration of routing, timing
and distribution provides integrators with a reduction
in cabling complexity, power requirements, rack space
and payload weight while increasing system flexibility
and convenience.
Included is a 2RU primary control panel offering enhanced
operational functionality by integrating router control
and an intercom station. The intercom is compatible
with either ClearCom or RTS systems. The system is
also available without the intercom station.

or 625/50) at time of order.
Note:
Intercom accessories, such as microphone and headset
must be purchased separately from appropriate manufacturers
of these items.
