The
DUET LE is now capable of playing up to six seconds of
pre-loaded animations in real-time. Object based animations
that are so easily created using Lyric software can be
read, modified and quickly played to air, a necessity for
Live Television. The new software and hardware additions
required for animation playback are being added with no
added cost.
Add Aprisa SSX Still Store
software as an upgrade to the LE. The combined features
of Lyric CG software with full function Aprisa SSX
Still Store software on one System makes this a very
powerful component for today’s Television Industry.

The
base Duet system includes a 6RU rack-mount unit with
high-speed backplane and auto-switching power supply,
seven high-bandwidth Chyron expansion slots, a 2D/3D
video graphics engine, a sync generator/input-output
card, and an integrated high-performance Intel® computer
board and CPU. For maximum connectivity, 10/100BaseT
networking is standard equipment.
All SD Duets feature dual SDI Channels with an internal mix in a single
graphics engine. The SD Video I/O Board provides video processing services
for an SDI input with key and 2 independent outputs with key in 10 bit
YUV -- just like Duet's video bus. I/O is switchable for 525 and 625
SDI in both 4:3 and 16:9 aspects. Duet's various Sync-Gen timing services
include Genlock and Time Code inputs. The input-output includes an integral
downstream keyer.

HD
Duets features a single input and two switchable outputs
for both 720-60p, and 1080-30i (only one output is active
in base configuration). The Video I/O Board supports
1.485 Gb/sec serial digital (SMPTE 292M). Genlock can
accept either bi-level or tri-level sync, at 59.95 or
60Hz. An integral downstream keyer is included in the
HD I/O as well.
